SMS Terms

You do not have to agree to text messages to apply, to be considered, or to be leased on. The box on the Quick Apply form is optional and leaving it unticked changes nothing about how your application is treated. If you do not tick it, we will contact you by phone or email instead.

Messages come from Spinnaker Nine LLC. A member of our recruiting or dispatch staff sends them from a company phone — +1 (708) 232-6480. They are typed by a person. We do not use an automated texting platform or a mass-messaging service, and we do not send marketing blasts.

• Confirming we received your application.
• Arranging a prequalification call, or following up after one.
• Asking for a document or a detail we need to move your application forward.
• Answering a question you texted us first.

That is the whole list. We do not text you advertisements, offers from other companies, or anything unrelated to your application.

Message frequency varies and depends on where your application stands. In practice this is a handful of messages while we are talking, and none once your application is closed or you tell us to stop.

Spinnaker Nine does not charge you for these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier, depending on your plan. We are not responsible for carrier charges.

Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. So will QUIT, END, CANCEL and UNSUBSCRIBE.

You do not have to use one of those words. Telling us to stop in any reasonable way — saying so in a text in your own words, saying so on the phone, or emailing dispatch@spinnaker9.com — works just as well, and we will honour it.

Stopping texts does not withdraw your application. If you still want to hear from us by phone or email, say so and we will.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your coverage, and we cannot guarantee that any particular message arrives.

We use your mobile number to contact you about your application and for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it for anyone else's marketing, or pass it to a third party. What we hold and how long we hold it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

The date and time you gave consent, and the exact wording you were shown, are recorded with your application.

If these terms change, the effective date and version at the top of this page change with them. The version in force when you applied is stored with your application.
